Do you own any Lake Michigan property that you're currently living in? You may have noticed an unusual amount of activity near the shoreline the past few days. Ever since Saturday, there's been an increased number of bikes riding near the waters of Lake Michigan. What's going on?
Those bikes are all a part of the Shoreline West Bicycle Tour, a yearly event that's actually celebrating its 25th anniversary. The event, which continues until the 15th was originally designed as a way to promote biking but has since evolved into a tourist attraction. It's not unusual to see participants stopping at various hotspots during their nine, six or three day tour. Don't be too surprised to see these cyclists as Lake Michigan property tends to see a lot of people biking near the beach.
Although it's too late to sign up for this year's event (all 502 registrations were filled back in June), it's something you may wish to consider if you're looking for a fun and healthy activity to do near your Lake Michigan property.
