The month of April is right around the corner which means that the summer season will soon be following.  Since 2004, the Lake Express has facilitated travel between  Milwaukee and Muskegon, Michigan and will be doing the same this year along with a few added perks.  If you're planning on renting Lake Michigan property for the summer, you might want to know what's in store.

The Lake Express will start service for the 2011 travel season on April 29 but tickets officially went on sale yesterday.  This year, several promotions are being offered including discounted prices such as $12 for children under the age of seventeen along with several more that will eventually be announced.  Lake Michigan property owners or renters who own motorcycles can also bring those vehicles along for free between April and June.

Capable of accommodating up to 250 passengers and 46 vehicles, the Lake Express makes multiple daily voyages across Lake Michigan which take about two and a half hours.  If you've never visited Lake Michigan, it's a great way to admire one of the five Great Lakes of North America.
